Let’s go to ADVENT ZAGREB, CROATIA with kid(s)!

Zagreb … My favourite city in the world … No matter where I go, I’ll still think that Zagreb is one of the most beautiful cities in the world… How realistic of me… 🙂 Yeah it’s my home town and I’ll always love him unconditionally … It’s even more beautiful during December and its Christmas Market and Advent… Its been pronounced the best European Christmas Market 3 years in a row … So, we’ve visited Zagreb and its Christmas Market more than once … With kids and without kids … And let us start from the beginning … We’ve parked our car right near the main railway station / 10 kn per day … Even though people say its always crowded, we found a parking space every time without any problem … Coming from this part of the town Tomislav square and “Ledena bajka” with Zagreb’s ice-skating corner is the first thing you’ll see … And it is definitely worth seeing …

Zagreb …

Right after mingling the “Ice fairytale”, and headed towards the main square, there’s the famous “Fooliranje”, located on Strossmayer Square … If you ask me, this is the place to eat … The best street food I ate on Advent was here … I ate a sausage with veggies and a neon pink dressing, which I have no idea what it was, but it was perfect / 30 kn … And for dessert a Germknedl which I wanted to try every year, but never managed … I can say that I really liked it / 35 kn … My friend ate a wrapped duck with orange sauce, which was really a little piece of art and delicious / 45 kn … Kids, as usual, ate all kinds of hot dogs / about 20 kn. Mulled wine is “a must” during December, so that’s what we usually drank / 15 kn, even though there were all kinds of drinks you could even imagine … Hot Christmas mojito with tinsels is something I wanted to try out but I’ve no idea why haven’t I …

With bellies full, it would be the best to take a walk through Zrinjevac, where the whole Advent story really began, and to have a cup of something to drink … So we did that …

//

Punog trbuha najbolje je malo prošetati Zrinjevcem gdje je zapravo i cijela priča oko Adventa i započela i uživati u šalici nečeg toplog …

After Zrinjevac I’d recommend to take a quick look at the Maric passage … The kids enjoyed it …

//

And there you are … At the Main Jelacic Square … There was a Christmas tram there, which took you down the city centre with Santa Claus in it, and with Christmas songs / 25 kn … For that price every kid got a small present and great memories …

//

The best place to grab a drink in Zagreb with a beautiful view…

We grabed a drink at European Square in Cheese and Wine Factory … I recommend them definitely …

//

And after Down Town here’s my favourite part of town, Advent and Zagreb at all … The Upper Town …

//

A nakon Donjeg Grada, moj najdraži dio grada, Adventa i Zagreba uopće … Gornji Grad …

I hope you enjoyed Christmas time as well, I’m a bit behind on my posts writing but here’s an idea what to visit this year in December … I assure you that you will enjoy Zagreb more than you expect…

//

Stay tuned … New adventures soon … :*
